It was a long flight and we were all on different flights so we had to wait at the LA airport until everyone was arrived.
Lynn Neil, Joanie Robichaud and me, in California, we've got to get to Big Bear lake but on our way was Venice beach so we had to make a stop there. We went and had dinner in a small restaurant on the beach. Right in time for the sunset, it was beautiful!
Back on the road, from the beach to the mountains, more we go up in altitude, the more it starts looking like mountains and somewhere we can snowboard, It didn't look like that an hour ago when we were on the beach.. ha ha
We arrived at big bear, checked in at the hotel and pretty much went to bed right away. We gotta safe some energy for tomorrow, were going to ride Bear mountain!
I still have a pain in my knee from Saturday... But there is no way that I'm in California and not going to ride... I'm gonna do my best to try to go ride anyway. I wasn't at my best but I still rode all day, It was unreal... the mountain is so awesome, It was sunny and slushy, the park is just insane... the threes look totally different from Canada... Everything about this place is just so cool!
The next day was the starts of Miss Super Park, A huge park just for girls. After the registration, we went and rode summit a bit since we only had to be on the course for noon. Summit park is reall cool too the features are so different from every other park I've rode and that's what make those park so special and fun to ride. We went and meet up with the girls later on in the afternoon to check out the park.... 1 word... UNREAL this is a perfectly design park, Huge, with the coolest features... A dream park for every riders... Unfortunately, I couldn't ride it cause of my knee but I had lots of fun watching everyone hit the features and take notes for next time!
California was an amazing trip with cool people, I'm really glad I went even if I was hurt. So 2 weeks following the injury... I finally get to see a doctor, and I've got a torn meniscus and gotta have surgery mid July.
